The Chief Information Officers Council is the principal interagency forum for improving agency practices related to the design, acquisition, development, modernization, use, sharing, and performance of Federal technology information resources.

The COFFA provides OMB with strategic direction, policy recommendations, and priority-setting advice by serving as a unified partnership of all federal financial assistance-making agencies on policy, management, and technology matters.

The Council’s vision is to improve government mission achievement and increase the benefits to the Nation through improvement in the management, use, protection, dissemination, and generation of data in government decision-making and operations.
